Whilst mooching through Youtube today i came across a make up tutorial by Tildzbox dedicated to the memory of a young lady called Sophie Lancaster.
Unfortunately this is a tragic story. Sophie was into alternative fashion and the goth scene, One evening whilst walking home with her Boyfriend, they were both attacked for being 'different'. Sadly Sophie died that evening.
As i sat and listened to the story Tildzbox told i couldn't help but feel compelled to take part in the youtube tag. It saddens me that in this day and age disgraceful acts of evil continue to happen.

Slimming World
So, One took the plunge and joined Slimming World, Of course i was running late, as i rushed along the high street trying to make it to class without looking like a windswept state in the process, i managed to hit every blast of wind and of course it began to rain! You know that fine rain that soaks you through! (God love Peter Kay!).
So i finally arrive and everyones in class, everyone knows each other and me walking in turns into a scene from to O.K corral!!! Everyone turns round looks, goes silent, I try to look casual whilst straightening my hair and clothes! I casually saunter through the group of women to arrive at the weighing station, where a beautifully slim woman nods me onto the scales....*Insert theme music from the O.K Corral!* I had promised myself i wasn't going to look.....but of course i did! WOAH! How is that possible? 10lbs in 2 months! What have i been eating!
As i was running late i had to wait until the end of the class for the Leader to sit and go through the diet with me, since when can you eat so much and lose weight? There are three plans on the diet and you can mix and match throughout the week as much as you like. Optimising Option, Green Option and the Red Option. A lot of what the leader was saying turned into an incessant ramble about being able to eat as much as you like and lose weight.
The green option stood out to me, as much potatoes, Pasta and fruit as veg as you like! The Irish in me loved this! I could hear my mother echoing in my ear...."We had a potato famine you know!"
The Leader spent at least 5 minutes mentioning lots of different foods and making a very irritating "Nom Nom' sound after every food she mentioned. Major biting of the lip going on.....Maybe she thought i was hungry? Little did she know what was really going through my mind!
I wasn't totally miffed off when i left, i was actually very impressed with the diet, seems like you can eat as much as you like as long as its in moderation and the right foods, you'd think i would have caught on to that one a long time ago wouldn't you?
So off i go on my Slimming World challenge, Thursdays are weigh in days wish me luck!!

Elf Shopping Spree!
.......40 Minutes later and a shopping cart of £40.00 i was ready to check out. I had gone way overboard with the shopping but hey, if your going to do something go the whole hog! why do things by halves?
One working day later (Which i thought was excellent) my shipment arrived as promised the previous day by text (which i thought was another nice touch).
The customer service was great and all the products were as advertised. Just when i thought i couldn't be anymore impressed i popped online today and they have a 50% sale on! Another £40.00 spent!

Hello Bloggers
Writing your first blog entry is a little like writing a sales pitch, you want people to read it, be interested, Leave them wanting to come back for more. Thing is when your not a 'creative' writer how to you keep people engaged? Honest answer.........I have no frickin idea!
I have spent this weekend becoming 'Socially (networking) Active' I have joined twitter and now have entered the realms of blogging! My interests lie in all things beauty ever since i was 8 years old i have loved to play with makeup, putting it on, taking it off, putting it on, taking it off...You get the picture! Many times my mother would be at her wits end with me sneaking into her room (and her make up bag) and 'helping myself' to her goodies, these were no normal goodies might i add! My mother was a fiend for Dior, YSL, Elizabeth Arden and alike, she was no Rimmel or No17 shopper! As you can imagine a £25-£30 lipstick broken by her cute little 8 year old whilst writing i love you messages on the mirror were never really taken with the sentiment in which it was written! ha ha!
Unfortunately for me (and my bank balance) the apple didn't fall far from the tree and at the tender age of 16 i was seduced by Chanel. The smell, texture, packaging, shopping bag, ribbon and matt finish. It became an addiction. I just love luxury!
However the bank manager isn't a fan of my shopping spree's with Coco! So one had to find good quality products at good quality prices and you know, it wasn't as hard as i first thought!
